Pull all 3 reports at AnnualCreditReport.com

The only federally mandated free source — not Credit Karma.

Screenshot every page of all 3 reports

Bureaus quietly update files. Your screenshots are your legal evidence.

Build your dispute tracker spreadsheet

Creditor, account number, type, amount, which bureaus report it, and your action.

Write dispute letters for every unverifiable item

Use the Validation Letter template from Chapter 2.

Send all letters via USPS Certified Mail

Send to all 3 bureaus AND each creditor. Log tracking numbers.

Write personalized goodwill letters for late payments

Use the template from Ch. 3. Be specific and genuine — generic letters get ignored.

Send goodwill letters to creditor executive offices

Executive offices have more deletion authority. Google the address.

Call each creditor and request goodwill removal by phone

Try 3 different reps. Ask for supervisors. Persistence pays off.

Draft Pay-for-Delete letters for all collections

Hold until dispute results arrive. Start at 40% of the reported balance.

Send Pay-for-Delete letters to all collections

Never pay before getting the deletion agreement in writing first.

Ask a trusted person to add you as authorized user

Look for: 750+ score, 7+ year account, under 10% utilization, zero late payments.

Open your first secured credit card

Discover it Secured or Chime Credit Builder are top picks from Ch. 6.

Apply for a credit-builder loan

Self, Credit Strong, or your local credit union. ~$25/month, massive return.

Monitor all 3 reports weekly

Watch for deletions, updates, and new errors.

Set autopay on ALL accounts today

Payment history is 35% of your score. One 30-day late wipes months of progress.

Pay cards before statement closing date

This controls what balance gets reported — the Ch. 7 utilization hack.

Execute Pay-for-Delete payments once agreements are signed

Only pay after you have written, signed confirmation of deletion.

Dispute any inquiries you didn't authorize

Use the Unauthorized Inquiry Letter from Chapter 8.

Send 609 letters for surviving items

The §609 + §611 combination from Chapter 9 is your final legal weapon.

File CFPB complaints for non-responding bureaus

Bureaus have 30 days. File at ConsumerFinance.gov/complaint — it carries real weight.

Check your score — celebrate the gains 🎉

Most people see a 50–150 point increase by Day 90.

If 680+: Begin business credit setup

Form an LLC, get your EIN, open a business bank account (Chapter 10).

"I had four medical collections from the same hospital visit and two old late payments. The tracker kept me from guessing, and sending everything certified mail made the bureaus take it seriously. By the third round, the collections were gone and my apartment application finally went through."

"Two duplicate collection entries were dragging down every report. I used the dispute tracker, matched account numbers line by line, and sent a short, specific dispute instead of a generic template. One bureau corrected it fast, and the others followed after the CFPB complaint step."

Common Questions

Is this legal? Can I really do this myself?
100% legal. Under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), you have the right to dispute your own credit — for free. Every strategy in this book is built on federal law: the FCRA, FDCPA, and CROA. You don't need a lawyer or a credit repair company.
How long does it actually take to see results?
Utilization changes show up within 30 days. Disputed items must be investigated within 30 days by law. Most people using the full system see their biggest gains between Days 45–90. The fastest result documented in this guide was 67 days. Results vary by situation.
What if my score is really low — like under 500?
James started with a 461 and zero active accounts. The system is specifically designed to work from any starting point. Chapter 6 (Build and Borrow) covers exactly how to build positive history from scratch — including secured cards that require no credit check at all.
Does disputing items hurt my credit?
No. Checking your own credit (a "soft pull") does not affect your score. Disputes are your legal right under the FCRA and do not negatively impact your credit. Only new credit applications ("hard pulls") can temporarily affect your score.
What if the bureau or creditor doesn't respond?
Chapter 9 covers exactly this. If a bureau fails to respond within 30 days, file a complaint with the CFPB at ConsumerFinance.gov/complaint and your State Attorney General. These complaints carry real legal weight and frequently produce faster results than letters alone. The book walks you through every step.
Is the $10 a subscription?
No — it's a one-time payment for instant access to the full PDF ebook. No subscriptions, no upsells, no hidden charges. You own it forever.
Do you offer 1-on-1 credit repair services?
Yes — we offer Credit Repair Guidance as an optional add-on at checkout. That said, we genuinely encourage every customer to walk the journey themselves. Our agents quite literally follow this same map step-by-step — there is no secret method behind the scenes. The book is comprehensive enough that doing it yourself produces the same results, while keeping every dollar in your pocket and teaching you skills that protect your credit for life.
Will paying an old collection restart the statute of limitations?
It can — and that's exactly why Chapter 2 walks you through this carefully. The statute of limitations (SOL) is how long a creditor has to legally sue you for a debt, typically 3–6 years depending on your state. Paying or even acknowledging an old debt can reset that clock in some states. The book teaches you how to identify your state's SOL and use pay-for-delete language that protects you while still resolving the account.
Can I use this system if I'm in active bankruptcy?
If you're in an active Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 case, hold off on disputing items until your case is discharged or completed — your trustee handles communication with creditors during the case. Once discharged, this system is one of the fastest ways to rebuild. Many people use the Rapid Rebuild and Authorized User chapters to reach a 700+ score within 18–24 months of discharge.
What if I'm a victim of identity theft?
Identity theft accounts must be removed under the FCRA, full stop — and the process is even stronger than a normal dispute. File an identity theft report at IdentityTheft.gov, place a fraud alert with one of the three bureaus (it propagates to the others), and freeze your credit. The book includes the relevant dispute language and walks you through the contact directory in Appendix B to handle each bureau correctly.
Do I need to pay for credit monitoring software?
No. Several reliable free options give you everything you need: Credit Karma (TransUnion + Equifax), Chase Credit Journey (Experian, free without a Chase account), and Experian's free monitoring tier. The book lists all of them and explains how to use them together to spot changes within days. Paid monitoring is convenient but not required.
How is this different from a credit repair company?
Credit repair companies charge $100–$200 per month and use the exact same federal laws — FCRA, FDCPA, and CROA — that this book teaches you to use yourself. The difference: they take 6–12 months and cost $1,000+, you take 90 days and pay $10. They're also legally prohibited from doing anything you can't do yourself, which is exactly what the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) confirms.
